관사를 붙이면, 안 되는 경우가 있다. 그것은 언제 언제인가?

God and man(신과 사람),
man and woman(남자와 여자)
과 같이 「인류 전체」또는
「여자에 대한 남자」의 의미인 때는
관사를 붙이지 않는다.
Man dies.
Man is stronger than woman.

「정거장•공원 이름」에는 관사를 붙이지 않는다.

「자기 가족•식구」를 말할 때는,
관사를 붙이지 않는다.
안 붙이는 편이 친근감을 나타낸다고 생각된다.

「춘•하•추•동」에는 관사를 안 붙이는 것이
보통이다.

이 외에도, at least(적어도), at most(기껏해야)
at first(처음에), at last(마침내), after all(결국)

관사에 관하여 주의해야 할 3가지

사람 이름 앞에 "a"가 붙는 수가 잇ㄴㅅ다.
그런 때는 「…과 같은 사람」또는
「…라는 사람」의 뜻이 된다.

두 단어가 동일한 것을 가리킬 때는,
나중 관사는 쓰지 않는다.
a poet and a vovelist. 2인, 시인과 소설가
a poet and novelist. 1인 시인 겸 소설가

=the rose with two colors.
